Horticultural Sciences

The activities of the group include research on: top fruit (pome fruit and stone fruit), winegrapes and table grapes, and soft fruit including strawberries.
Our research activities focus on current key problems in fruit production, which present themselves with these capital-intensive crops that are difficult to grow organically. Covering a wide range of issues, from production to marketing, our key to success lies in the intensive cooperation with the advisors and with internal and external, national and international research groups in the areas of plant protection, plant breeding, plant nutrition and quality.
